Icon The Flash to the comics. Are they anything close?

Guys, if a Tuesday misses me and I miss Flash something is wrong. That's my favorite show right now but I can't help but wonder if the comics are any better considering I watch all my episodes online and have never seen a Flash comic... :shock2: yaaa

What do you think

I haven't read the comics yet but some parts of the series are based on it. The people in team flash (Cisco, Caitlyn, Wally, Jessie) and the villains are based on the comics as well but have some differences.

Flashpoint was also based from the comics.
I just get all the info from youtube. There's this really awesome youtuber who discusses the flash episodes and compares then with it's comic counterpart. You can check him out if you like.
