Dub or sub

If I can speak the movie's language, or slightly understand it, I would say subbed.

However, if I don't know the actors or the language, I'd rather have the dub. The director didn't intend for us to stare at the bottom of the screen for half the time.

I enjoy seeing films and tv shows how they were authentically created.
I’m notopposed to dub. I just think the voices are cooler in its original languages.

I’m sometimes cool with dub sometimes intolerant. It just depends on the voice acting in contrast to the actual acting of the actors

I like the sub ones better I just feel like you miss part of the story when the anime is dubbed

Sub all the way, although I have to keep my eyes on the screen to know what their saying. I find it sounds nicer and you could learn some words.

While dubs can work, it requires the va's to perform someone else's character. At least with subtitles the original character intent is preserved and is acted quite differently in their native tongue.

I prefer movies with subtitles because then you can catch the wordings of the dialogues better, especially when there`s an accent involved.you can also enjoy the movie at the same time. I don't like dubbed movies because in those the characters` lips are moving in a different manner...

I will use subtitles only when watching movies like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. Other than that, I don’t ever really use them.

Mostly sub, unless I can't find it. I think I watched Bleach and Ouran High School Host Club in Dub and it didn't bother me too much. I try to find sub when characters speak English because sometimes the accents are super funny (psst Kuroko no Basket)

I completely agree. I like watching foreign language TV shows and films and I just can't deal with the lips moving and the sound being out of sync, besides, just the knowledge that it's not the actors' real voices.

In Italy there's a long dubbing tradition, nonetheless there are often mistranslations and dubious performances that affect the result, especially for TV shows where many episodes are dubbed in a short time. Luckily today double-audio broadcast is normal at least for national TV channels so I can avoid it for movies and TV shows in English, for other languages I don't understand I use subtitles if available.

I prefer subtitles. Sometimes the voices don't fit the characters they are trying to portray. That is usually enough to make me abandon what I'm watching because I can't get over the weirdness of it. If they save me from that feeling, I don't mind having to look down for the subtitles.

I personally prefer subtitles on an anime or foreign film rather than watch a dubbed version. I like the authenticity of the movie in its language of origin.

While I often prefer subtitles, I can see how people find it easier to listen to a movie in their own language. It makes the task less complicated, especially if the person we are taking into consideration is doing something else in the meantime. However, if the dubbing isn't properly done, the movie may end up ruined.

I prefer dubbed. I have a bad habit of "half watching" things, I listen to shows and anime as I do housework or work on other projects, looking up every now and then. But if I'm watching a foreign film, and I'm really watching it, I will watch with subtitles.

True, if you're doing something else so you're mostly listening to a program you can't use subtitles and you must hope that it was properly adapted into your language.
