I generally prefer adaptations as they have more time to add details in without rushing pacing. That and I find a lot of movies to not have as much rewatch value as long series.

I prefer TV adaptations of a book rather than movie. TV shows contain all the elements of the book which the movie fails to do.

TV adaptations are too long. Maybe if they could cut it into lesser episodes i would love too. So a movie series is much much more preferable.

For books that make a series, I think a TV show can come much closer to doing justice than a movie. For single novels, the movie form probably works better. That said, I would prefer TV shows to movies since there is a lot more room to be true to the book.
It is what you read when you don’t have to that determines what you will be when you can’t help it.
