I get what you're saying but Western media does a poor job of illustrating any culture appropriately and accurately. That's not an excuse but for right now it's the sad truth. For a Kids movie, I think it was well done and magical. That's the main thing to expect from a Disney movie and they didn't disappoint on that front.

Moana is one of those movies that really sticks with you. It’s not just about a young girl setting off on an adventure it’s about finding your own path, even when the journey is tough. Moana's story feels so real because it’s about listening to that inner voice, the one that tells you who you truly are!

I married into a Pacific islander family, and their general consensus is that Moana is a positive representation film. It has strong lovable characters and doesn't drag down what they enjoy in their culture. They have negative opinions on representation in other films, but Moana is uplifted in our house.

Moana had a positive tone to it and left you feeling uplifted. It was definitely one of the better movies I watched in recent times.

I don't think they implied any of it to be rude. I realize individuals have issues when they watch motion pictures from their way of life, I comprehend that the Hollywood transformations are exceptionally westernized and don't mirror the mind boggling subtleties, yet considering that it is a youngsters' film, it was very great. I didn't have a clue about this culture or divine beings like Maui previously and found out about it after I saw the film. Furthermore, I loved a Disney film with a female lead that doesn't sit tight for a "Mr. Perfect" to save her.
