Netflix also recently obtained Avatar: The Last Airbender, which is probably the best animated series ever made. (They also have the movie based on the series, but that's supposed to be dreadful.)

Oh Avatar: The Last Airbender is such a good one. You know, all three seasons were rated 100% by Rotten Tomatoes, which is quite a significant feat.a_r_egerton wrote: ↑07 Jul 2020, 10:38 If you like fantasy, try Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. It's set several generations before the movie and tells of the conflict between the Gelflings and the Skeksis.

Agreed. It's still so relevant even today. Moreover, when many new productions are changing the way IMDB top 10 looks, this show has remained intact up there in the top three.DATo wrote: ↑15 Mar 2020, 07:48 Band Of Brothers - This was actually a miniseries, but I feel I can confidently recommend it. The Internet Movie Database (Imdb) lists movies and TV shows separately, but this miniseries currently ranks higher than anything produced in any medium - TV or movies - at 9.5 of 10. The Godfather, for example, is rated 9.2.
It is 10 hours long but worth every minute of it. It is the true story of a company of parachutists in WWII from their time in training to the end of the war.
You may have already seen it since it came out in 2001, but if you haven't I heartily encourage you to give it a try. It is far more than a war movie. In many reviews even women (as well as men) who are not interested in war movies said they were totally engrossed by it. The ending of this miniseries was one of the most powerfully emotions things I have ever experienced in cinema.

I will recommend certain movies and series that I enjoyed categorized by genre.
1. Sci-fi
The 100- It is survivalist show set in a post apocalyptic world 97 years into the future. The Earth was ravaged by a nuclear war and humanity has been living aboard a space station ever since. The characters are very well written.
Stranger Things- Very popular show based around CIA project MK ULTRA.
Black Mirror and Bandersnatch- Black Mirror covers the unforeseen(by the public) effects of the increasing involvement of technology in every day human life.
Bandersnatch is a true gem of a movie that is filled with Easter eggs. The first of it's kind, Bandersnatch is an interactive movie where the viewer decides the actions of the protagonist.
2. Fantasy
The 100
The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina- It has those Halloween vibes that I love. It is a little cliched though.
3. Based on books
The End of the Fu**ing World
Based on the graphic novel of the same name, it is about a teenage guy who is fascinated with killing things. He becomes obsessed with a fellow classmate who he dreams about murdering. Fascinating watch and characters are very well written.
Anne with an E- A heartwarming series based on Anne of Green Gables.
The 100
To Kill a Mockingbird- By Harper Lee. The movie does justice to the book.
Perks of being a Wallflower- A heartwarming coming of age tale that, too, does justice to the book and is even better than the book sometimes.
You- A series about a charming and obsessive guy that puts you on edge and scares the crap out of you at the realization that your private life might not be as safe as you think it is. I was hooked on the first line. Penn Badgeley does a fantastic job as Joe.
4. Crime
Peaky Blinders- Revolves around the life of Thomas Shelby, the leader of a notorious gang, The Peaky Blinders, which was an actual gang in Britain in the 1920s.
Good Girls- Three suburban moms decide to rob a grocery store when in financial trouble.
