For me, they both complement each other. The only thing is that the book has more detail than the movie. I love them.

The novel version of Anna was fun and different! I enjoyed the books more thought there are plenty of better novels out there as well!
Yes, the novel version of Anna was more developed and fun. It is quite represented in the book, you must watch it with a free mindset to see them all. Good movie and book.

I think both the books and the movies had a good and bad to them. I enjoyed the overall story, but I did not care for the repetitive writing in the books like "cocked his head" and other one-liners that the author repeated over and over again. I also did not enjoy reading through intense situations that happened that were never resolved because the main characters chose sex over conversation. In turn, the movies did provide a little more resolution to arguments BUT the acting was just ok. I think they were both good but also weak just in different areas so they ended up complementing each other.
