My absolute favorite series I'd like to see made into a TV series actually, instead of a movie. Kim Harrison's The Hollows/Rachel Morgan series would make a great show, each book being a season. I'd love it!!

Yes to the Night Circus! I heard they will make a movie out of it, the same company who made Twilight I think, not sure.

I am someone who is a very imaginative reader, so when I read a book, I practically watch a movie in my head of what is happening. This makes me a very bad movie watcher when I go to see my favorite books on screen, because I have such a clear image of how "it's supposed to be." But...I still go and see them every time, even if I know I will be disappointed. However, I can still hope. I'd like to see more movies based on Neil Gaiman books. I'd watch Good Omens or American Gods, if he were to write the screenplays. He's written for Doctor Who a few times, and they were brilliant episodes.

I would actually love to see any of Julia Quinn's books made into a movie. I am a sucker for romance and especially historical romances!! I know they are not the most popular genre now a days, but her books are so cute and sweet and pretty funny most of the time so to see one of them brought to life on the screen would be amazing :)

I know what you mean. I've only ever seen one movie that I liked better than the book, and that was Cold Mountain.

When I was younger, I refused to watch any of Stephen King's books-made-into-movies. I think I saw one and was so disappointed in how much different it was from the book that I said forget it. To this day I think I've only seen Cujo.

I've always thought the Outlander series would make an excellent movie. It would have to be a three or four part series though. If they tried to fit that into a single movie, so much of the important interaction between the characters would be lost. If they ever did make it into a film, I'd hope they chose the lead actor to play Jamie Fraser very carefully.

The matched series by Ally Condie!! That would be an awesome movie series if done correctly.

I heard that, too! I would love to see Night Circus made into a movie. It would definitely require a lot of talent to pull it off well, though!

I know this already a mini-series, but I would love to see a version of Neverwhere that was less, for lack of a better word, campy.

I would like to see The Maze Runner Trilogy by James Dashner made into movies. I enjoyed those books so much, and I would like to see how other people envision the characters and scenes and such.

As soon as I saw this post I knew what I was going to say. Uglies, by Scott Westerfeld all the way! While being a YA read, this series had amazing creativity and was a book that I could read 24/7. I finished the ENTIRE series in a week, and the day after I was online searching for possible movies. Although unlikely, Uglies is listed as a project on IMDb, so I have my hopes up :P .

I would like to see the Ranger's Apprentice series be made into movies. They are an entertaining, gripping tale of a young boy who becomes a Ranger.

There are so many books that could make good movies but it is fraught with danger. The Philip Pullman story was poorly translated into The Golden Compass.
I have recently discovered Bloody Jack the children's series by Meyer and I think it would make fast and action packed set of films. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Book of Negroes or the Luminaries made into miniseries or films.

I would like to watch the continuation of the Inheritance Cycle because the books are quite nice. Also, I would love to watch The Black Jewels Trilogy turned into a movie, or a series of movies. I am sure a movie can't reach the depths of the books but I would love to see all the handsome men of these books on screen.
