The Impressionists (GREAT MOVIE and free on You Tube)

Post by DATo »

If you are interested in art, and even if you aren't, this film (dramatic movie) is both extremely interesting as well as enormously educational. It is told much like a novel would be written. It is the complete story of the Impressionist movement in art which eventually made people like Monet, Renoir, Manet, Degas and so many other painters famous as well as their struggles. As mentioned above it is told much the way a novel would unfold. The acting is off-the-charts great, and the story is perfectly true to the historical facts. Even has a beautiful musical score.

This is not some fly-by-night movie. It is a VERY high quality production. It is presented in three parts (all available consecutively on You Tube) and each installment is about 1 hour long. Possibly the finest production I have ever seen on the net.

This story is humorous, poignant, heart breaking and exhilarating, each in turn. Regardless of your artistic sensitivities this movie is well worth the time invested, but you will determine that for yourself once you begin to watch it.
