The Phantom of the Opera!

Post by Melexa »

One musical movie that I really love, asides Sound of Music, is The Phantom of the Opera. I guess it's because I love operas and classical music. I was rooting for The Phantom, and I was so sad that he didn't get Christine. It's funny, but I still am :?. I just felt he loved her more...

Have you watched the movie?
Did you enjoy it?
Were you also rooting for The Phantom too?

I watched the movie and I watched a live performance a couple of years ago. Really loved it and still have some of the songs on my playlist.
To be honest I'm not sure if I was rooting for The Phantom, I really liked him and kinda hoped the best for him but I'm not really a fan of Christine and therefor ending up with her didn't seem like the big jackpot to me ^^.
Have you seen the show as well? And if so have you also seen the second part?

I haven’t seen Phantom of the Opera, but we played the music in band. I feel like we played it too much and that made me not like it, but if I had only played it once or twice I would’ve loved the music!

Amazing musical! It’s a classic. I do understand the desire for The Phantom to end up with Christine, but after everything he did to her, I felt that Raoul was the better match for her. They had a special bond since they were children.

The most recent one was mediocre. The CGI was good, and some of the characters were okay, with some good moments, but everything else is just disappointing.
