Nerve: Book or Movie?

So I just recently read Nerve and afterwards went and saw the movie. After the movie, I sat in the theater shocked. This was a first. The movie was better.

The book was decent but it let me down. It had this great idea of being paid to complete dares by a mysterious app which I loved but the dares lacked. The author had this amazing topic and she ruined it with lame dares.

The movie had a better approach to the idea. It's dares and finale were a lot more interesting than the book. They actually put thought into it. No offense to the author of Nerve but she ruined a great idea with poor plotting.

Once and a while you'll find a movie turned out better than the book. I've never read Nerve or seen the movie so i cant judge though

I had no idea there was a book, but I think the movie was awesome. I usually think the book is better than the movie, but in this case it seems like the movie is better.

Really? There's a book? I've seen the movie. Haven't known there's a book until I saw this topic.

Wow, a movie better than the book! Never knew there was a book. This may be a first when I don't even read the book at all before seeing the movie.

I didn't know it was an adaptation, either. :lol2: I haven't read the book, but I've seen the movie and enjoyed it. The concept is unique to me and if what you said is true, that the movie was better than the book, then kudos to the director.

I've watched the movie and it's one of the best. I can't even imagine how they were able to think about all those twist and turns. One of this days, I'll read this book.

I've watched the movie, but never read the book. I thought you might have mixed the title, because a book I know with a similar premise is Panic by Lauren Oliver. But I've also known for books and movies to have different titles before.

I'm okay with both. It's hard for me to decide what's best with things like this sometimes, and I guess I just don't mind, as long as it's good.

Hadn't heard of the book or the movie before this. But the underlying premise of a truth or dare game seems a promising one. I'll definitely be checking this one out.
