I have watched the show and it was very thrilling full of suspense but I am not sure if I should read the book because I don't like to compare when I have already watched the movie version of a book then there is no suspense in reading the book

.
Has anyone read the book or the show and did you enjoy reading or watching the show?

I actually really like the book. I have not watched the show yet since I am worried it might spoil it for me.

I loved the book! I watched the movie before reading the book, and really liked the narration, details, and suspense in the book. Flynn is excellent at suspense. Watching the movie first didn't detract from the story for me!

I have watched the movie and Rosamund Pike's performance in the role of Amy is outstanding. The way she performs the role emits a frightening, but at the same time, delicate feel to it. I'm yet to read the book.

I absolutely love both. They really nailed the look for the genre and the acting, pacing, dialogue and directing done well. Don't have much problems with them

I really enjoyed both! That made me want to watch Sharp Objects - it's also a book by Flynn and the TV show was pretty good in my opinion as well.

I loved the first few chapters of Gone Girl, but the longer it went, the more I wished for the demise of both. Can’t say my reaction to the film was any different despite acting ability.
