As for Valhalla versus House of Dragons, so far, I strongly prefer Valhalla. HOD is grim dark. Focusing on characters with few redeeming qualities does not help it. I like the characters in Valhalla a lot more.

There are a few Vikings shows. Most I have seen do a fair job of working to historical relevance. I love The Last Kingdom too, but it is a little further from history.João Ramos wrote: ↑12 Mar 2024, 07:50 That's a difficult question to answer. A fairer question would be Vikings vs. The Last Kingdom. I would prefer The Last Kingdom.

House of Dragons just isn't as captivating as the original GOT characters.human reader wrote: ↑14 Mar 2024, 11:12 Vikings is more consistent, better ending. Both shows have some weak aspects and to be fair, Thrones has great moments.

I thought Brittania was really good in the first two seasons. In the third the Roman Governor got too weird and they switched streaming services. I didn't keep up on it.

I think House of Dragons can come across as one note sometimes because you lack the more good-natured characters like the Starks, Tyrion, and Sam. Season 2 of HOD could end up better than season 1 but I'm not sure it can reach the heights of GOT.Bradley Twesten wrote: ↑29 Mar 2024, 08:50House of Dragons just isn't as captivating as the original GOT characters.human reader wrote: ↑14 Mar 2024, 11:12 Vikings is more consistent, better ending. The action in both are good and great battles of course but you must acknowledge the unique characters in game of thrones
