Marvel and DC are separate publishers, owned by different parent companies.

Might be different publishers but there seems like so much crossover now with all the actors. Jimmy Woo in Ant Man (Marvel) and Aquaman 2(DC). I'm sure there are more. I did like Henry Cavill as Superman. I always felt like the earlier DC Movies (Superman with Henry, Batman with Ben. 1st Wonder Woman) bordered on believable and could take place in our reality. Marvels were always more sci-fi and lasers. I didn't care for the first Aquaman but the 2nd was horrible as they brought in a bunch of ridiculous sea creatures. Might as well have brought in Jar Jar Binks for a cameo.

@wedwilson I'm not surprised at your question with so much being so similar between the books, the characters, and the movies. Apparently they are different! But who's to say - they may become one some day in the future....
