A Wrinkle in Time

Growing up I loved Madeleine L'Engle's Time Quintet series beginning with A Wrinkle in Time. I've easily read the series a dozen times, if not more. Now, I recently went to the movies and saw the preview for the film adaptation of A Wrinkle in Time. I'll admit I didn't like what I saw. I'll probably go see the film once it comes out, but so far it's nothing like what I imagine when I read it. What do you guys think?

I didnt even know that they were making a remake. Hopefully it does the book justice because this is a classic. I loved the books, but have only read the first two.

I've only read the first few, but A Wrinkle in Time is the first "real" book I ever remember reading. Hopefully the movies will do it justice.

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm partly worried that it will ruin the book for me. I had to read the book for a class and I absolutely loved it. I might go ahead and watch the movie eventually.

For me, watching the trailer for the newest remake was almost disappointing. There seemed to be more focus on the famous celebrities that would be featured, rather than the actual storyline. I hope I am wrong, because I would love to see what a modern-day adaption of the book could look like.

I couldn't agree anymore with this. I loved the book and had high hopes for the movie which was aethetically very beautiful they focused way to much on the fact they got Oprah and Reese Witherspoon to star in in than anything else

I haven't read the books. I did see the movie and it was pretty, but that was it. It didn't make sense and I was actually bored watching it. I turned it off a little over half way through watching it. I do still want to read the books, as I know movie adaptations never do a book justice.

The film had potential but it sort of fell flat half way through. There was something of the book to it but, for some reason, that something didn't actually translate all that well in the end. I'd be curious to see what the director would do with less constraints than Disney usually applies, though.

I grew up reading A Wrinkle In Time and the books following it and have really enjoyed them. However, when I saw the new film A Wrinkle In Time I did not like it. It was just a weird movie anyway, but I didn't enjoy the way they portrayed the story. It was confusing and disorienting, even though I have read the books and knew what they were trying to portray. Granted, a wrinkle in time is a confusing concept to get across, but I think it could have been done much better.

I read the book, " A Wrinkle in Time, " and also watched the movie. The book contained a lot of information that was not projected in the film so I appreciated the movie even though it did not do justice to the story.
