We need to talk about the last season of Game of Thrones!

Hi guys, I'm sure most of you here are GOT fans! I really like the TV series that I didn't find the need to read the book. Now that we are down to the last season, may I know your thoughts about it?? Did you expect the things happening now? From Jon Snow becoming the King of the North to how Cersei is ruling the seven kingdoms??

To those who are also reading the book, was there a lot of scenes omitted from the show??

I really think every person behind GOT is a genius. 8)

There are still seven episodes next year!
After that, I will be lost.

I was so disheartened when I heard that. But well, GOT is always worth the wait.
I think the story next year will revolve around white walkers. :D

I am a huge fan of the books and the show. After the first season the books and the show started to go their own separate ways. It is understandable since the book series is not finished yet. I think both are extremely well done. This season is only 7 episodes but it is going to be more action packed since Winter has finally come. They also had to delay the season premiere because they needed to wait until the winter season to film. So far it has been so amazing and I can't wait until Sunday night!

I love the books and the show despite the many differences, but since the show is ahead of the books, differences are to be expected. I am loving this current season!

To be honest I prefer the books. But I am catching up on some of the episodes and so far I am starting to like it.

I better start reading the books as well after the seven episodes of this season! I feel you. The episodes just keep on getting better and better!

So much is happening!

People, and things, and SO MUCH!!!

Okay, I'm okay now. :faint:

Also, I've only read the first book, but plan to start another soon. Love that the first season was so close to the book, but also looking forward to seeing how they diverged.

I love the show. I have the books all waiting to be read on my bookshelf, and plan to dive in after I finish reading the HP series.
Am I alone in being the only one who loves Littlefinger? :)

I have come to see the show and the books as separate. The complexity is what I love about the series, and that is completely lost in the show due to real issues like production costs. So I watch the show for the great visuals and direction, and enjoy it for that.

Can't wait for the next season, i started to read the 1st book, then stopped and kept on with the series. I think i'll do just that for now and maybe get to the books in a distant future.

I'm the first to admit: I just couldn't keep up with books. I gave up after a few pages. Too many characters, too many points of view.
But I freakin' love the tv show! But, c'mon: Cercei sparing two people in one episode? It clearly isn't George Martin writing the scripts :lol2:
I think Dany is going to have a bursted vein next season when she finds out she's not the "rightful" queen of the Iron Throne.
And now, we have to wait like... a year? Gonna die until then!

Love the show! Although I felt the most recent one was very "fan service"

The next season seems so far away!!!

GoT is my favorite show!! I think the seasons have just gotten better and better. When (if) GRRM ever finishes the next book I will definitely be reading it.
