What is the best book to movie adaptation?

Post by See_B00kReaDs »

With an increase rate of books to movie adaptations today, there are those that they filmed well and those we hope they could have filmed better. I like watching movies as much as reading them, and although we have known that a movie can't really outshine the original book written since they only have few hours to show it. What do you consider as the best book to movie adaptation?

Although there are tons of movie adaptations to choose from, I really like the movie: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" which was based on the book written by C. S. Lewis.

What about you? What is the best book to movie adaptation for you?

Thanks for raising this point. I'm a great fan of history, myth and legend so the fantasy and sci-fi genre tends to pop up among that category in the book to film delights for me. Books like Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones are fantastic and I can read and watch them often - going back and forth between the page and screen. The fact that the film versions are summaries of the books doesn't lessen my viewing pleasure. Also, while they are not based factually on history, they both take historical elements and make them like stories of old.

Yes! I agree with your point of view, wherefore, The Color Purple, a 1982 epistolary novel by American author Alice Walker is what I consider my version of the best book to movie adaptation.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) :reading-7:
