On the topic of V. E. Shwab, I seriously enjoyed her book Vicious. Lots of supernatural elements, great characters, a fun, moving storyline, slightly dark... Just another reccommendation!
I didn’t read that one yet but you’re right that her writing is spot on. The Near Witch is good too.

If you're into Harry Potter, I'd definitely recommend the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss. It's a bit of a leap in maturity-level, but it's some of the best fantasy I've ever come across.

Can you tell me what kind of books do you like? Try picking up the ones which you can feel relatable to. Firstly, find your favorite genre than pick the book which might seem like your own story or the one that speaks to you.
I hope this will help :)

Thank you for the recs. I'll give them a try!
Books may well be the only true magic.

Hello! I would recommend one of my favorite books if you are into crime/thriller stories. It's called The Memory Man by David Baldacci. If you are into fantasy, you may try Inkheart by Cornelia Funke. And if you like romance, I have read Noah by Gary Hope here in Online Book Club. :)
Stay safe! Sending hugs

Well I think it's important, you remember why you love reading in the first place. If there is no reason or motivation for something, they might not be a will to do or enjoy it.
