I feel like Beauty, in this novel, lacks the sense of loyalty. Her father is literally the only parents she has and she is actually her father's most favorite child. She shouldn't have fell for her father's murderer.
Now I know it wouldn't be beauty and the beast if didn't fell in love with the beast. So I just wished that the beast didn't kill her father.

Lost In A Book is about Belle being able to escape into a book into different time periods, and she has to uncover why.
As Old as Time is a retelling detailing if Belle’s mother cursed the Beast, and the Beast and Belle have to unravel the mystery of their families. (Some of the details at the end are pretty dark, but the plot change overall is more fitted to the story verses the original movie)
Liz Braswell has written many Disney retellings if you enjoy them.
