Supernatural Romance suggestions?

Post by Library_Dragon »

I am a major fan of The Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost as well as the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Does anyone have any recommendations for me?

The Mortal Instrument series by Cassandra Clare, of course! I'm sure you've heard of it before! I would also recommend The Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater if you're into werewolves.

I'll have to check out the wolves one. I briefly looked into the mortal instruments but the entire conflict with the two main characters being supposedly related just turned me off of it immediately. I dont do forbidden romances or doomed ones.

Have you heard of/read the Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo, Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas and Abandon series by Meg Cabot? I personally loved these, except the first two have several major themes including supernatural romance. Oh and Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer! It's actually more sci-fi but it has 4 books that are futuristic sci-fi retellings of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White.
A ship may be safe in the harbour, but that's not what ships are meant for.

Have you tried Jaynne Ann Krench she writes contempary historical and paranormal. She started out writing under different names, like Amanda Quick for her historical romance and I cant remember the other name she use for paranormal but search under J.A.K and they will send you to site. I love everything about her and her heroine. Strong and capable woman that you wish was your friends

I've read the Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater. I think anyone looking for supernatural romance would like that series.

"Starcrossed" by Josephine Angelini, it is the first book of a trilogy. The characters are demigods but they have to live like normal teenagers. The love story between the main character(Helen) and another demigod is very intense and has a preponderant role in te plot

Yes! Try Christine Feehan's Dark Series. The first in the series is Dark Prince. Just to let you know how popular it is, she just released the 33rd book in the series a couple of months ago.

Another series you might like is Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series.

Nalini Singh writes a Psy-Changelings series, as well as a Guild Hunter series, both of which are supernatural.

Kresley Cole and Thea Harrison both do supernatural and Suzanne Wright's Dark in You series is excellent. More edgy than Feehan's Dark Series, but still very good.

Those are all the best, in my opinion. Second tier, but still enjoyable when you've run out of the others is:

Jennifer Ashley, S.E. Smith, and Sherillyn Kenyon.

The First Balance Bringer by Debra Kristi is a good YA fantasy book. It deals with supernatural forces and the romance between the protagonists was a good slow-burn too. I didn't like the ending but the romance was fine.
