Hi Victor! I just completed some works by Ernest Hemingway ("The Sun Also Rises" and "The Old Man and the Sea" being my favorites) and I would highly suggest exploring his work. My all-time favorite author is F. Scott Fitzgerald, whom I would suggest to you if you are a fan of language - he is a master of explaining in great detail using great illustrative words. Hope this is helpful, and good luck in your search!

I don't think you can go wrong with Charles Dickens. If I could recommend only one of his novels I would recommend David Copperfield. The book is quite long but it is so entertaining that you don't really mind it. I consider it Dickens' finest work and was surprised to learn that it was also Dickens favorite of all his works as well.

I would recommend; Fahrenheit 451, Les Miserables, The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, One Hundred Years of Solitude.

And if you like Dickens, then I think you should check out the book called The Woman in White, written by his buddy Wilkie Collins.

Perhaps House of Mirth? It's not as well known but I find that the writing style and era of the story would suit someone who enjoyed classics.

As someone whose favorite books tend to come from the 19th century, I'd recommend Middlemarch, Jane Eyre, and North and South

"A Tale of Two Cities" , "Don Quixote" , "Jane Eyre" are the first three that pop in mind.

Tolstoy- Anna Karenina

A few months ago I finished Tess of the D'Urbervilles and found it fabulous! I had only read classics such as Pride and Prejudice but Tess was unexpectedly good. I am also currently reading Moby Dick, another timeless classic.

Gaston Leroux, Cervantes, Dickens

I echo what others have said on here, and I'd also recommend the Bronte sisters, Jane Austen, Louisa May Alcott, and Mary Shelley. You can't go wrong!

I throw in another vote for Jane Eyre. It's actually a fantastic book! Frankenstein is another amazing classic, and probably my favorite classic.
