Psychological Thrillers Suggestions?

Post by Misty1992 »

Hey guys, I'm new here :D
Do you have good psychological thriller books you could recommend to me?
I finished The Silent Patient and I'm currently reading Gone Girl! Are there any similar books I could dive in? :techie-studyingbrown:

I read the topic and was immediately going to recommend The Silent Patient until I read your blurb  I know people have mixed reviews on this book and I can totally understand why but I definitely think you should check out Verity if you haven't already. that book made me stare at a wall for a good hour after I had finished it. Also, The Maidens by the same author as the silent patient, is also supposed to be really good!

The Silent Patient is great! I highly recommend The Prisoner by B.A. Paris. Let Me Lie by Clare Mackintosh was also a great read. I also enjoyed First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston. These were all page turners with twists like The Silent Patient and Gone Girl.

Hello!

I discovered two authors who seem to thrive on psychological thrillers, and they are Megan Miranda and Lucey Foley. My favorite from Megan Miranda has been The Only Survivors so far, but I also enjoyed Fracture and Vengeance. I've only read two by Foley, but The Guest List and The Hunting Party are both worth the read, in my opinion.

Hi! I highly recommend Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn. It sounds like you might enjoy it! the prose is hauntingly beautiful, and it's chock-full of emotional twists.

Hi! Those are two of my favorite psychological thrillers. I also love Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty, The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn, and absolutely anything by Ruth Ware. I hope you can find some good ones!

If I may be so bold, as I’m extremely new here, but I have a book available that you might enjoy. Out For Justice. A psychologic thriller with a bit of romance thrown in, to keep a rookie detective occupied while she works the case of a murdered young boy with a seasoned partner. Clues abound while bodies turn up with little to no reason for them to be related.

The Echo Man by Sam Holland was a great one that pulled me in and held me there.

Whenever this topic comes up, my mind instantly thinks of 'The Silent Patient'. I found it absolutely amazing. The plot twist completely shocked me. In my opinion, the book was really good. However, another book that comes to mind is 'Gone Girl'. Although I didn't enjoy it as much, I think it's because everyone's tastes differ.

I recommend "The Girl On the Train," by Paula Hawkins, "Silence of the Lambs," by Thomas Harris, and "Shutter Island' by Dennis Lehane. These are very good psychological thrillers.
