Historical fiction recommendations

I recently discovered Kate Quinn and I bought and read every single book by her, she’s amazing, especially her Rome series but I thoroughly enjoyed the more recent settings as well (WWI and WWII) Any recommendations for historical fiction authors that are just as captivating?

I would recommend the "The Book Thief" by Australian author Markus Zusak. This is a historical novel set in Nazi Germany during World War II. The book was published in 2005 and became an international bestseller.
