hello:) just a little introduction

Post by LauraS »

Hi there everyone! My name is Laura, and I am a 21 year old college student in Canada. Even though there is not much time once school is in session, I feed my book addiction with a large assortment of novels. I can pretty much read any genre, but I am most interested in classic novels (my favourite is Oliver Twist), and I have also recently developed a taste for Canadian authors such as Margaret Atwood and Carol Shields(Unless is probably my favourite book of all time). Anyways I will save the book reviews and the rest of my favourites for future discussion. Back to more about me...I also dabble in writing a bit, but so far have not come up with anything substantial to speak of, its mainly just for my own piece of mind as writing keeps me sane:P. Getting everything out there and onto a piece of paper (or into a Word document) is probably the most cathartic thing in the world to me. As for what I'm looking for from this forum, I look forward to having some great discussions, as I do not really know too many people who enjoy reading the way that I do. I also look forward to hearing about authors or books that I may not know of yet.

Well thanks for taking time out of your day to get to know me, and I look forward to getting to know some fellow literature junkies!

Hello Laura and welcome! Im also a 21 year old college student but I live in MI. And like you I just don't have the time to read for myself much these days. Thank goodness for semester breaks!

See ya around!
