Hello everyone, I just joined up today and am excited to discuss with everyone :) I have been looking for something to do with my spare time off from work, and as I love to read I figured this would be good for me!

Hello everyone! I'm new to the reader's forum and looking forward to doing some reading and discussing with all of you! I am an avid reader and have loved books my entire life. I'm a native Texan and live in the Hill Country. I have two grown children who live in Austin and one grand daughter. I look forward to hearing and sharing with you all!

I probably should have mentioned some of my book preferences. I love most genres...particularly classics, mystery and suspense, biographies, etc. I'm not a fan of sci-fi or fantasy! Authors I'm reading lately....David Baldacci, Harlen Coben, Lisa Scottoline to name a few. My reading preferences change....sometimes I'm into fiction...sometimes I'm interested in something else.

Hello! I'm Amanda.

I am a writer (you might have seen my husband's sweet shout out) and would love to talk about my stuff but that isn't why I'm here. As with most writers, I'm also an avid reader. Since I've been working so much the last couple of years, I've become lost as to what I want to read next. Most recently (but far too long ago), I read What the Dead Know, Fragile, several paranormal series, As You Wish, On Writing (King is the man.), as well as several other books on writing. I love creepy, scary, sexy, heart-stopping books that have me sitting on my heels on the corner of the couch and reading as fast as I can. I look forward to diving into the forums and finding out what you guys recommend!

I agree, Fran. It was one I picked up on a whim and ended up reading in one sitting.
