Hello....I just joined a few days ago, so I thought I would stop in an introduce myself! You can call me Melody (because thats my name). I am 20 years old, and work at the Regional Library in my area. I work in the Young Adult/ Audio Visual Dept. and I love it! I am, and always have been an avid reader and lover of books. Some of my favorites are, Les Miserables, A Clockwork Orange, The Book of Lost Things, Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass, The Holocaust Chronicles, Night, Pet Semetary, and Cyrano de Bergerac. I also love the Harry Potter series. My favorite book was "The Order of the Pheonix".

Besides reading, I am also an artist. I work in charcoals, bleeding tissue, and pysanky. I am an Irish step Dancer. I compete and perform with my class. I LOVE animals, and always speak out for animal rights.

Well, I'm very happy to have joined, and look forward to meeting all of you!

We've already shared some posts but it's good to officially say "hi".

That's cool about the animal rights, I used to be quite involved as well even getting into some trouble protesting and such.
But over time my commitments to the cause have dwindled so I'm really glad there's people out there like yourself keeping it active.
