Hey... I'm new.

Post by tngwstlnd »

I guess that's obvious. Where to start? My name is Brad, I'm 17, and my obsessions are books, music and film. Ummm... my favorite movie is The Royal Tenenbaums and my favorite band tends to switch sporadically from Pearl Jam to The Who and back; right now, however, it is Pearl Jam, being that I just saw them in concert.

In terms of books, my favorite authors are Doug Coupland, Anthony Burgess, Vladimir Nabokov, and Kurt Vonnegut.

I tend to be a very open-minded person, so I hope to get along well with everyone here. Oh, and I live in Chicago.

Ooh, I love Chicago! One of my favorite places to visit, it's so gothic and cool, especially in the early autumn.

It's from a Who song called Baba O'Riley, and the last lines are
Teenage wasteland
It's only teenage wasteland.
Teenage wasteland
Oh, yeah
Teenage wasteland
They're all wasted!
Yep. Awesome song.

And thanks for the welcomes sleepydumpling, kaytie and Dori!

Hi Brad. I to have an obsession with books. I have hundreds of them that i have to still read. I love Chicago. I was just there about a month ago. I really wanted to go to college there but i couldn't really afford the tuition. I live in Michigan so its not that far. Im going to school in Grand Rapids so I want to definetly do some weekend trips to the city.

Hiya T -- greetings from Miami. I'm a big movie lover too - love indie films. If you liked this, you will also like another funny movie called I Love Huckabees. Ever seen it?
