Hey guys, I'm Christine! Sooo excited to have found a good writer's forum, I love writing!
Do you guys have any tips for writing an autobiography? I am seriously considering it, and I have started a draft but I am kind of stuck. I really want my biography to sound different and reflect my personality but without sounding unprofessional.
I am using thebookpatch. com right now to work on my draft cuz they let you organize your writing and publish it for cheap on their website! However, the content and editing has to be there before I am at the publishing stage....any ideas guys? How long should it be? Should I start with my childhood or maybe with high school since that's when life really started getting interesting?
Would love some feedback! The other autobiographies on The Book Patch are so inspiring and I am a little intimidated!

Hi :) I noticed your post about the autobiography and as an avid reader/writer I think I can offer you a few tips. My advice would be to stick to the important events, focus less on the little stuff so you can keep your readers interested. Be careful not to offend anybody you write about, I have certainly seen that happen. I also checked out the Book Patch yesterday after reading your post and the website is awesome! I can't believe something like that is available to aspiring authors, and for so little cost. I will definitely be passing the word along to my writer friends. Maybe when your autobiography is all finished I will see it on the Book Patch :)
