Book recommendations

Hi, Can anyone recommend some books for my husband to read for our holiday. He only reads when we go away and he liked the Dan Brown books and likes books relating to myths and mysteries. He read a book last year whilst on holiday which was about ancient symbols found in a cave in Egypt. He likes books that leave you wondering if the topics he is reading about are true etc. Hope this makes sense and any help greatly appreciated.
