Hello, I'm Chris. I'm not very well versed in the world of books and seen this site and thought it'd be a good place to start. I'm just hoping that literature doesn't turn me into a pretentious prick over time as that seems to be the associated stereotype. Aside from that, I'm really looking forward to getting recommendations and the like from you lot.
On that matter, where should I post a topic about requesting good book suggestions?

Welcome to the forums and for book suggestions try the General Book and Discussion forum there will be plenty of people to help you out

Welcome ... there are absolutely no pretentious pricks lurking on this site. Our Moderator has a specially commissioned pretentiousness identifier which he wields without mercy.
