This was a remarkably interesting and thought-provoking book. It tackled a spiritual question that has plagued me for years. As a spiritual person who attends church regularly, it has always been difficult for me to reconcile my belief in a loving God with the suffering and evil that are so prevalent in the world.

Most people are familiar with the story of Adam and Eve as described in the biblical book of Genesis, but I am sure few have thought about it with the degree of examination this author uses. This book made me think differently about the story of creation. Rather than just a story about disobeying God, it was the foundation of the author's premise about good and evil.

The author researched their book quite thoroughly as evidenced by the extensive list of references. I thought one of the most interesting parts of the book was the author's explanation of how the theory of evolution by natural selection fits into their narrative about why suffering exists in the world.

Despite the book's complex content, the author explained concepts in a way that was understandable. Physics of time and space was not necessarily something I thought I needed to know, but I did appreciate learning about this.

Although I may not agree with everything the author believes, I appreciate how comprehensively they explained their reasoning. It is, however, difficult for me to believe that a loving God would condemn the faithless to an eternity in the fires of Hell, regardless of the way the author justifies this point. And this author does an impressive job of justifying exactly that by focusing on God's omnibenevolent nature and man's lack of faith as "the core feature of all sin."

This book was extremely well-edited. I was unable to find a single typo or error in the entire book.
