I'm on the fence! (Looking for some info)

I am super interested in this book, but am still hesitant to invest myself in reading it. I'm hoping that someone can help me with this.
For those who've read it:
- Does it end in a cliffhanger, or with other gnawing questions left unanswered?
- Does anyone know if or when the second book will be out?
Please, no spoilers
Thank you!

I'm sorry, which book is this about? Are you talking about 'Roan'?

I thought that went without saying, but yes, I'm asking about Roan

The reviewer can probably answer those questions best. As it is the first book in the series, there are most likely to be some unanswered questions. I will give this book a try regardless, as it sounds captivating.

I tried that first with no luck. There's still hope for an answer here. I'm patient
I assume there will be some ongoing storyline, but with the date when this was published, it makes me reluctant to dive in before I know.

I understand and I feel the same. If it wasn't the BOTM, I would have awaited before starting it. Hopefully you will get an answer fast.

I feel the same way. I have other things that I want to read before this. I am curious whether people think it is good enough to jump the queue.

I'm on the fence too! I'm a few chapters in, but it will be a big time investment to finish the whole book....I didn't even think about cliffhanger endings. I certainly hope it doesn't have an incomplete feeling at the end!

I am more than half way in; and while the book is good, it is very long. I'm having a little trouble finishing it because it seems to drag a little for me in places. I usually read very fast, but am getting stuck in a couple places. I hope it picks up; I don't want to stop reading this far into the book. I do feel the book is worth the chance though if you have the time to invest.

I am the same way. It feels like it is taking it a long time to read, however, they did do a good job still keeping me interested in it. I find myself having to flip back and forth from this book to my other book to keep me going also.

Me too! I usually have a couple books going at a time when I take a break from writing. ☺ It's like clearing your palate, ha!

I find the length daunting. This will take me several weeks in my busy schedule. I would need to find a dedicated time to read the book and nothing else. I would really prefer if it was shorter so that I would only need to spend a few days on it as opposed to a few weeks.

It is a good story, it's just a little long. I think you will enjoy it. ☺

Roan is a rich story with a raft of believable characters, even the "mythical" ones. I do recommend it.
