This work of fantasy is also historical fiction. What are your feelings about that genre?

I love historical fiction. It forces me to analyse and it forces me to remember my history lessons. "The Diary Of An Immortal" is one of the good historical fiction books I know.

I don't usually like Historical Fiction. But this book seems worth a chance since it is Historical Fiction mixed with Fantasy which is one of my favorite genres.

I love historical fiction because I get to learn about another time. I really like this book because it blends fantasy with reality.

I typically enjoy historical fiction. In particular, I enjoy books where author's take historic characters and try to decipher the possible emotions, giving them life as well as a personality. This particular BOTM is more fantasy than historical fiction in my opinion. I enjoyed the author's use of major events (mainly WWII) to help create is story.

historical fiction makes a great read as the reader can actually get the feelings of the culture, the people, how they used to think. The restrictions they had at that time.

Well, personally, I prefer reading books that have been set in the present or the future. I also don't like watching movies set in the past. ?

I typically don't read historical fiction, but maybe I just haven't found a good one to hook me into the genre.

I'm not a big fan of reading historical fiction, which I find strange as I don't mind watching it. It tends to take something a little extra to hook me into reading this genre.

I love the combination of both. I read Historical fiction now and then, but I prefer it together with another genre.

I love historical fiction! But, it has to be good fiction, not contrived, and it has to be real - not fake facts =D When I find a good marriage between a compelling story and reality, I am in book heaven. But then, I have always had a strong connection to history, so that's probably part of it. Sometimes when I am in a place, I can sense good or evil that has happened. That's a little spooky, so I don't go around trying to sense stuff LOL!

I'm not a fan of historical fiction. It's either romance or Sci-Fi for me!

I don't honestly read a lot of historical fiction. It almost seems like a contradiction. If it's historical, then it's set. But fiction means it isn't real. I do read some historical romance though.

I really enjoy reading historical fiction. I usually learn something while enjoying a story. I also read a lot of non fiction so I think I'm really drawn to things that are based in facts. Fantasy is not usually my cup of tea so I guess that fits!
