I studied all sorts of topics, and learned some Hebrew so I could understand the Bible better, kept questioning, always working with the assumption that any answers I found would bring me closer to god.
And I was just...wrong. Once I realized I'd drifted outside of anything that could be called "Christian," I gave up the title and started describing my religion as, "I try to follow Christ."
And then I realized I didn't care. Once I wasn't trying to force my beliefs to conform to Christian doctrine, I realized that that's all I'd been doing for a long time: thinking on my own about what seemed right, true and moral, and then trying to bend what I found to be "Christian. " My actual thinking had been secular for a long time.
I called myself agnostic for a while, and eventually shifted to atheist.

I like what you said and I think that people who believe in God fail to realize one important fact. God doesn't make bad things happen to us in life. We are responsible for every situation that occurs and must act accordingly. God isn't to be blamed. Instead, he is someone we should lean on in our darkest moments.Shreyoshi Sen wrote:I did question his existence once in my life. But today I regained my faith. I believe that we depend on God for every small situations of our life be it good or bad. If its good, God it there. If its bad ,God is not there. Though we are just mere puppets of his hands but somewhere we too are responsible for every situation in our life. God was, is and always will be there for us and that is the biggest truth.

I wholeheartedly agree, rssllue! I have never questioned His existence and can't see myself doing so in the future. Even with the loss of my sister due to medical reasons, I never wavered in my faith in Him. We are given free will and make our own decisions, but He is always there.rssllue wrote:I do not question His existence in any way. I know that He is there and active in all of the happenings in our world and especially us flawed humans. Without Him we would have no chance for victory over sin at all.

I do understand religion and why people need it, though. To many, it is a important part of life, who they are, they're happiness, and how they choose to live. Personally, I put my faith in science, the earth, and life, and I never question my faith.

Rather than be disappointed in one specific God, I like to believe that there are many around me just existing. It is not my place to rely on them, I just have to respect them.

It is apparent that there is this Devine intervention everytime we are in dire need. Others may consider it imaginary but we still feel the power if this unmoved mover.
