Do you question the existence of God?
In the book, “Raven’s Peak”, Haatim questioned his faith in God because of the tragedies in his life. There was a point in my life when I questioned the existence of God when my father was taken from us.

That's a touchy subject, some have never accepted the existence of God, therefore are unable to question it.
Myself, I have never questioned His existence. I have admittedly questioned Him, "why or how" strongly and tirelessly at times of struggle and strife. I've always believed though, as a Christian, keeping that connection and that communication with God, in Jesus's name helped me through the tough times.

All the time! One should always question things and not follow blindly.

I did question his existence once in my life. But today I regained my faith. I believe that we depend on God for every small situations of our life be it good or bad. If its good, God it there. If its bad ,God is not there. Though we are just mere puppets of his hands but somewhere we too are responsible for every situation in our life. God was, is and always will be there for us and that is the biggest truth.

No. One of the reasons I had trouble empathizing with Haatim is because he looses his faith because of his sister's death, whereas I in my darkest moments have always looked to God. In the words of Peter, "Lord, to whom would we go?"

All of the time! I think we as humans will always question the "unknown". That's in our nature!

I agree, otherwise, we suffer from the negative effects of blind faith or fanaticism.

I do not want to consider us as God's puppet. I believe that we are given the chance to choose whatever we want to follow but that is with accountability. Are there times when He left us? Well, that is the big question.

I believe in God. This wonderful world and things in it, their creation, the way they are connected and one thing affects the other and makes the the whole system work, make me believe in Him.

God seems suspiciously man-made to me - I never was able to believe it anyway.

Once again I think you are right @gali. I believe it's our duty to question what we believe. We can't just ride the coattails of others because they tell us it's right.

But yes, I do believe that whatever we are doing or will do in future, its because he has planned it for us.

In my youth, I did. I'm older, I'm more experienced and more spiritual. I've encountered things in my life that I know there was no way I would have made it through it without some kind of higher power. I know that higher power is God. I think most people who believe in God has had weak moments where they doubted his existence. We usually always find our way back though.

Haatim, a character in "The Raven" questioned the existence of God. Just like Haatim, I also question the existence of God in yes when my family encounters insurmountable difficulties. However, I ask God's forgiveness in doubting His existence and power.

I believe in God and I have not questioned God's existence. I am a Catholic from birth or also known as a cradle Catholic so my faith is pretty important to me. I have questioned God about the bad things that occur in my life, but I have never questioned his existence. Even though things might not go the way I want them to I can always count on God to lead me in the right direction.

I question this all the time, much to the chagrin of my Catholic parents, haha.
