Tough one!

I love Harry Potter. It was a big part of my childhood and let's be honest, I've always related to Hermione. But I love dark fantasy. I think it gives the genre a gothic edge that's just so entrancing. Game of Thrones for me!

I loved the Game of Thrones series, however, I find Harry Potter just sticks with me. Maybe it is because I was the same age as Harry when the books came out so I felt a deep connection at the time I read them?

My favourite fantasy series has got to be the The Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Malazan Series and the Song of Ice and Fire runs close behind. While I have a lot of respect for he Lord of the Rings series, I feel it has been supplanted by these newer series.

There.. one hornet's nest successfully kicked :)

When sci-fi/fantasy series include include stories such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and Lord of the Rings, how is it possible to ever choose? If I truly had to pick only one of these series as my ultimate favorite then it would probably have to be Lord of the Rings. It is full of magic, action, and adventure. I never tire of reading the books or watching the movies.

My favorite is actually this small series by Lauren Oliver. Delerium, Pandemonium, and then Requim. I also used to love The Mediator series by Meg Cabot.

I haven't read the series for a while now but it still has a place close to my heart, it's the Last Dragon Chronicles by Chris d'Lacey.

My favorite ever sci-fi series is the X-Files...how I love Mulder and Scully!

My favorite ever fantasy series (anyway that's the section they are found in the book store!) is J.R. Ward's vampire series "The Black Dagger Brotherhood"...I've read them all at least three times!
