There are so many quotes that I really love, one of my absolutely favourites is this one from Jodi Picoult's 'My Sister's Keeper':

“You did really great up there,” I tell her, because I don’t know how to say what I really want to: that the people you love can surprise you every day. That maybe who we are isn’t so much about what we do, but rather what we’re capable of when we least expect it.”

Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing.
-Harper Lee, To Kill A Mockingbird
A lovely quote and an amazing book!

That Harry Potter one is certainly a lovely one!

"If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden." from 'The Secret Garden'. Really must reread that sometime, I loved it so very much.

He who, secure within, can say,
Tomorrow do thy worst, for I have lived today."

I don't remember if this has been done yet, but it is one of my favorites and I have used it as a mantra to keep myself going when things were hard. It is by the poet Mary Oliver.

I want to think again of dangerous and noble things.
I want to be light and frolicsome.
I want to be improbable and beautiful
and afraid of nothing,
as though I had wings.
