In a way, this book encouraged me to review the lyrics of Adele's songs and listen to them once more because I want to understand the characters in the story as they are given flesh and blood by the authors.

Definitely! While reading the book I discovered songs I didn't know about and I really enjoyed listening to them. She truly is a great artist

It's the other way around for me. I'd read the book because it features her songs. I'm curious to see the made-up context in relation to the lyrics.

I scanned right past them as well.

It's interesting to see how the opinions are divided. :) I think those who listened to her music before reading the book were perhaps more excited about the song inserts, while those (like me) who found her songs all right but not their cup of tea weren't affected by it. It's a nice story, but if you don't listen to that kind of music, I don't think a book can change your mind. It would be amazing if it did, though.

I definitely went to youtube and looked up songs of hers I hadn't heard before but I didn't until I had finished the book. I like Adele but am not her biggest fan. I imagined after reading that she reaches a lot of people globally.

I'm still very new here, and this book is one of the books I'm interested in reading, but has to be after my exams, I don't want divided attention. I am already a fan of Adele and I hope I enjoy it as much as others have.

Not really. I do not like Adele very much, so I kind of skipped the last of every chapter when they mentioned Adele's lyrics. I felt the lyrics were forced in and not required in many parts. So, the answer to your question is "No".

Honestly, no. I do think she has talent but I just don't typically go for the type of music she creates and reading the book doesn't really change that...

I didn't like her latest album, but 19 was one of my favorite albums when it came out and I did like 21. I'd like a little more variety from her, personally.

I've heard of Adele before this book. I like some of her songs, but not all.
