Definitely! I love learning about foreign places and cultures. It makes the book seem more real and relatable, as well.

Yes, I do. I used to travel extensively, however recently I've been mostly at home. By reading books depicting new and interesting places, I live vicariously through them. I can go this way to places I've never been.

Yep. Totally! My favourite is the Lake of Dreams, where the description of Japan is especially well written. I love the outsider perspective because when I read about places I've never been to, I like to compare it with books that have an insider perspective, like Memoirs of a Geisha for Japan. That way, I feel like I was there, once. :D

I love reading books about new places because the author makes the story to come out real and so as a reader am virtually taken to those places because the story creates a real picture of the place and so a desire to finally visit the place physically is developed in the Reader's mind

Yes I like reading books about places I've never been to. It is very helpful learning about new places without having to actually visit them.

Yes, reading books of places that you have never been create a a whole new aspect of imagining and drives your mind to that place. It makes you feel like you have been there by just reading and the urge to one day want to go there and experience the feeling. it is the best feeling in the universe it triggers imagination.

It is nice thing reading about places you have never visited and I love it. As we read about new places we get an insight of how the other side of the world looks like, that's what we call social constructivism!
By just reading 'My trip to Adelle', I now want to visit Rome one day.

I love reading about places I have never been to. As a person who has very long work hours I don't get much time to travel. Books are my escape from my daily routine!

I like to read about places I've never been because I find it far more interesting than reading books about where I live! I like where I live but it's always nicer to read about new cultures and places and how things are there. I've actually been to Rome and Jordan (and Las Vegas but I was very little and don't remember it) but they are such interesting places that I really want to read this book!

I think I may look into finding books set in certain places. I did so with South Africa, though I've still only read a few.

As for what I've read already, I've found I quite enjoy reading about Budapest, Prague, basically anywhere, so long as the author has made an effort to bring the place to life.

Reading about new places makes me feel like I've been to some version of it, and get to know the culture. It's one of the reasons why I fell in love with books: they transport me to worlds.

yes,for sure ! but it's all about the way the author uses for describing it because he has an indirect influence on the reader, either he will love it or not. for exemple,in My trip to ADELE we could find this concept by focusing especially on the dark side of VEGAS or MARRAKECH because of the context of the story, despite the fact that there's also an undeniable bright side! so in my opinion , i think that is good to read about new places but not to adopt the same ideas and visions as the writer .
