What other artist's musical selection would lend itself to this sort of adaptation?
What other artist's music would you like to see used in this way?

I'd love to see Prince's music done in such a way. I think he's one of the best lyricists ever--actually, I think he is the best songwriter ever. He has countless memorable hits that would be suited to tell a story.

Honestly, any classic rock or country singer would be good. Probably even better. I can't stand Adele's music so the book held zero interest for me. A book about a bunch of people brought together by say... Martina Mcbride would have been great.

The best music-themed adaptation I know about is actually a movie, not a book; the little-known Australian movie Thunderstruck. The movie begins with five teenage friends attending an AC/DC concert. Many years later, after the death of one of them, the others come together in a comical road trip as they seek to spread his ashes over the grave of his hero, Bon Scott. It's one of my favourite films of all time.

I would love to see one of my favourite bands (The Maine) in a story like this as their music is full of feeling but much more varied than Adele's.
Any musician or band with a few albums out could work well, all it needs is enough people to connect to it. Rock music works well that way I think.

I would love to see someone write a book based off Beyonce's lyrics!

Beyonce would work really well! I really want to have a go at writing something similar about my favorite bands.

I have so many, but I think Shawn Mullins would be great. So many different songs, and a story in each one. It would be brilliant, and would probably be a must read for me.

Elvis would absolutely work!
The Beatles, also. And the Rat Pack.

I do not belong to the generation of the Beatles but I love their songs. I also love Bonjovi's. If their songs will be organized into a single story by a great author, I think, it will work.

Me neither. Some artists just defy generational boundaries.
Ed Sheeran would be an interesting one. So would Mumford and Sons.
Nick Drake would be awesome.

I love the song "Life's About to Get Good" by Shania Twain but I am not sure if this was given life in a book. It is a happy story of life.

There are so many good suggestions here already. I love the suggestions of Prince, Elvis and the Beatles. I think I would add Michael Jackson to that list.
