One of the main characters was pondering on the differences between men and women and trying to give reasons of the women's characteristics that women put the blame on the men in times of problems. What can you say about this cliche that Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus?

I would say that men and women are from the same planet. We simply speak different languages and need to work harder in trying to understand one another.

I agree with both of you. There are some differences based on gender stereotypes, but we have more in common than not.

There's a lot more variation within each group then between the groups, and even THAT variation is heavily influenced by socialization.

Maybe there are biological differences, but they're pretty insignificant compared to individual variation.

The psychological explanation of men are from Mars and women are from Venus is their differences on approaching things. This is not an issue of stereotyping. It is more on trying to understand the other party by not imposing your own beliefs or ways to the opposite sex.

I think it's crap. Personally, I've seen a lot of men have a feminine touch to many conflicts. Not only that, but there are a lot of women who are more aggressive than their male counterparts. Whenever someone tries to stereotype me based on what they've heard from that cliche, I'd be confused, then just go about my business. Aside from a few biological differences, personally, there isn't much separating a man and a woman.

Thanks for the comment. I agree. We have to recognize the differences but we must make these differences as our means of proving our love to the one we love as we try to meet at a certain point.

I think sometimes it feels like we are from different planets but with a little bit of love and understanding, the distance gets smaller and smaller.
