Yasser or Miriam?

The story shows the struggles between Yasser and Miriam, and how they struggle to keep their marriage intact in spite of both of them feeling no real love for each other. Who do you think was right?? Whom do you support and why??

Yasser was an annoying character because all he did was complain about his life. It was like he was going through a mid-life crisis. He was even being unfaithful to her. Miriam, while she had her flaws, actually seemed like she was trying a lot more than her husband. She complained less and didn't step outside the marriage simply because they were having problems.

I don't think I can choose either side. Each has their own views. I suppose Yasser can be blamed more because of his 'affair'.

I didn't like either of them. Yasser was annoying and his wife was just as bad.

I don't want to choose between the two because they are both culprits and at the same time, they are victims. They are trapped in their marriage in the absence of love.

She was just as bad since she resisted every idea of his and twisted his words. One could say they deserved each other...

I think I support Yaser though he was whiny, he kept trying to please his 'hard to please wife'

I notice most people are blaming Yasser because of his so-called "affair". I do not think that what Yasser had counted as an affair. He did not have any physical relationship with her, and making panting sounds on the phone while talking to each other does not count as an affair.

Very well put. They bought were whiny and unwilling to accept the other.

When one is in a relationship, I think he shouldn't have sex calls with other women. Also, Yasser tried to realize the affair, but stopped at the last minute.
Thank you.

Yaser represents many of us humans. We try hard to please the people around us may it be for a good intention or the other way.

They were my least favorite characters. He shouldn't have been getting on the phone with a woman to make an emotional and sexual connection. He should have better left the marriage. She was controlling and disrespectful, meaning she wanted to force him to have her beliefs. Love was definitely over between them. However, I can understand his frustration with her.

I believe their differences made them perfect for each other. In any relationship arguments might end up being a uniting factor, especially when the issue is addressed. Look how easy things became just after 1 scene at the airport.

I agree! He shouldn't have been getting on the phone his lover. If he really wanted to save his marriage, he should have cut the connection. Since they didn't love or respect each other, I don't think their marriage could be fixed.

I prefer Yasser even though he's flawed just as most of us.
His only flaw in my opinion is that he got married to a woman all because he's intrigued by her faith.
Every other was meant to happen due to that faulty foundation.

Neither. Both were annoying, although quite relatable. The part that has ennerved me the most was their struggle to revive a happy memory, when they had 2 children. How can this be true? At least the moment they wer in the hospital should've been a happy one. Also the weird fight about who was calling whose parents most... urgh!
