Nadia's strong personality and her willingness to do anything for her son just goes to show that there is no greater bond than that between mother and child.
Do you find Nadia too aggressive?

I think it's always the case of too much, too less. I think that while she does appear aggressive, parenting is a wide range of opinion and cannot be objectively judged because our baseline will be how we were raised.

I didn't think she was too aggressive. Honestly, I thought she wasn't aggressive enough.

Men run the world.. But women make it easier to run it.. I mean who doesn't want a nice smile to back to.. HAHA

Categorically I didn't feel that she was too aggressive, all I can find is the immense love and care she has for her son to be happy.

Thank you all for your views. I've learned a few things from them.

I think she is not that aggressive but she has just decided to live in modern society way.

I also agree. She wasn't very aggressive, and it would have been nice if she was more aggressive.

Nadia has the makings of someone who will EVENTUALLY be more aggressive but she still has a lot to learn in regards to standing up for herself and for her son. I'd really like to know what happens in a year or two with her. I'd like to see her stand up more to her ex!

I am not sure I understand the question. Generally men run the world, with strong, powerful women behind them. As for the book, yeah I think she was not aggressive, but quite firm.

I think Nadia was very brave, considering the risks she took relative to her job and her relationships. We have to appreciate the culture of the society she was living in where women were supposed to be invisible.

In fact, all three women (Malika, Mariam and Nadia) were braver than their men (Elias, Yaser and the horrible ex). Now, who run the world? Haha

I wouldn't categorize her as aggressive. But when you are a parent sometimes you have to be strict. I think it's unfair to judge her based on that...
