Would you still play games like rope skipping in this digital generation where IPad are available with lots of games?

At one point, Nadia compares their generation and Waleed's generation. In their (Nadia's) generation they used to play games with simple things but their lives were fulfilled but in Waleed's generation they have IPad to play games and access social media which is full of hypocrisy but their lives seem empty.

I think the new generation is kind of cool because their is technology and it depends on how you use it.

I honestly wouldn't play games like rope skipping these days, except for exercise reasons. Otherwise no

I agree with the reply above... Most people my age that I see rope skipping do it for the purpose of exercise, I don't even see kids rope skipping bit I remember I used to love it then.

I would definitely still play physical games. In this digital age where I spend most of the time with my face in front of a computer screen, playing outside is one way to relax. I don't have time to play with my friends (and I think they wouldn't want to play with me anyway) but I play with my sister and my dog. My sister is in her thirties by the way :p We just like to enjoy our lives and feel young ^_^

rope skipping?...I think that's junior high school stuff. Anyways, I skip only when I'm exercising. It'll be fun though if you've got the right 'gang' with you and your bones are not rattling already.

I would love to be able to do things like skipping rope again. I'm always telling my kids to go outside and ride a bike or just play. They don't have to be entertained all the time. They generally can find something else to do but would rather have the electronics.

Yes I would! Its a great and easy way to stay fit around the house, its sad that kids nowadays don't play much outside with friends.

Yes I would. Because apart from it being relaxing, it's great exercise and entertaining. I find learning different ways on how to skip a rope, mind blowing.

Well, it's been years since I've done one of those jump rope rhyming games, but my family has a big jump rope and we still play that game where you try to get as many people jumping as you can whenever we're all together. We have a couple of variations of it to make things more interesting.

I do still play physical games with my grandchildren. The are only allowed a certain amount of time of anything digital. If we want our children to do physical activities, it is up to the grown ups to set an example.

Absolutely!!!! Everyone, and more so kids, ought to learn how to have real social fun and enjoy the outdoors. I think the trick is to learn to strike a good balance. After all, physical activity is also good for everyone's health. Plus it makes you feel so much younger!

I would totally play jump rope! I used to love playing games like that as a kid. Believe it or not, kids still play outside like that. Especially elementary and middle school kids play games during recess or after school. There are a lot of kids that can not afford to play with expensive toys such as ipads so they still play outside with their friends. It's nice to have the option to play with ipads, but it shouldn't be an all day everyday thing. There should be a balance between electronics and playing outside.

I am greatful for the fact that there were no ipads and the virtual world when I was a kid. It was more fun and I believe it is the right way of growing up- spending your time on the playground, not on facebook or other things.
