I have a fantastic relationship with both of my parents. I would drop anything and run to them if they needed me and I know they would do the same. In fact I went from seeing them three times a year to moving back to my old town and now I live 5 min away from them. I love the fact that Saturday is family day and we swop houses each week and watch the rugby and braai. We pop around to each other all the time for tea or just a visit. I am truly lucky to be so close to them (physically and emotionally)!

My relationship with my parents was not at all like Paco and Godfredo, but that doesn't mean it hasn't been challenging at times. My parents care for me deeply, but haven't always known how to show it. This is especially true for my mom. Her childhood was so traumatic that there were just some areas where she struggled in being expressive or in letting go. But I am so very thankful for my parents.

My relationship with my parents is fantastic. My mom is my best friend and I am proud to say that. My dad has given me the standard of how I need to be treated by men. If it waan't for them I wouldn't be who I am today. I owe them everything.

My parents are not on my side since I was a child until I become adult. They work outside our countries, but when they back here and made a decision to stay for good I give my all to gain the respect and love that I didnt experience with them. And now we live happy.

When i was younger,i was very close with my parents but as i have grown into a young adult we kinda distant but the respect and love is something that cann't change.

Words cannot express my love for you mom and dad, so i will not even try to do so. The relationship with my parents were a very unique one where we share many happy moments and many great times. I am following the same step now with my kids. Thank you mom and dad.

My mother was my first love, and I thought she could do no wrong. Then I became a teen and thought she could do no right. Now I know that she was human and made mistakes, but tries everyday to be a better person than she was

I have sometimes good relationships sometimes conflictual with my parents.Since they seem to control my life and make decisions without consulting me and just put me in front of facts.I hate this behavior from them.

My mom and I get along well. She is a middle aged divorcee AND widow who is totally on the prowl. My husband and I support her a lot. She lived with us for a while after she left my dad. She's a conundrum really. We're great friends but I am getting too old to see her packing a shag bag and sneaking out the back door...

My father and I haven't spoken in 9 years. Sadly he's a violent alcoholic. It was all well and good when I was young because, hey, you learn to live with these things. Then it was fine after I moved out because I didn't have to live with it. When I had my son though, I told him he had to get sober to see him... He chose the booze.
