I enjoy reading books about other people's experience. I think that it opens up a new way to approach things that I might go through that are similar that I might not think of otherwise. I think being able to see different perspectives of things really helps when going through any situation and when I read about other people's experiences I feel like I am maturing my mind to be able to think before speaking when faced with similar obstacles rather than showing my butt and saying the first selfish thing on my mind!

I generally don't gravitate to biographies and travel logs. I much prefer fiction, whether fantasy, sci/fi or romance. I guess it is a desire to escape from the real world for a while.

Of course I do. There's always something to learn from someone else's adventures, mistakes and choices. There are thousands of good stories out there and almost every single one is based on someone's experience.

I do enjoy reading these at times. Many times the only way to see foreign countries or love adventures are through someone else.

I love reading about other peoples experiences. If they write descriptively enough, they take me on the journey with them. When considering travel, many places described in books are ones I will never be able to visit personally, so I really appreciate a glimpse into someone else's world. If it is reading about other peoples life experiences, this can also be beneficial as it can influence future decision-making, teach new coping strategies and, in certain circumstances, make you feel you are not alone.

Yes, I do like reading books about experiences of others because I can get a lot of ideas on how to handle things once I am also in the same situation they experienced. Learning from real experiences is I think still the best.

Sometimes, but only because we learn so much from this kind of books.

Many times, I not just want to put myself in someone's shoes, I want to be them for however brief a moment that might be. Reading true experiences about people affords me that exact opportunity to live another person's life through the pages of their story. Then, when I'm out, some things like ideas, perceptions and solutions are surely coming with me.

Sometimes. It depends on the stule of writing. But even if it's not my taste, there's always something to be gleaned from sharing someone else's experiences.

I do enjoy reading about the experience of others. Sometimes I gain completely new knowledge, such as if it is an area or an event of which I am completely unaware. Other times I can at least somewhat relate, which sparks my own memories.

Absolutely--understanding what people do and why can be more fascinatin than the story itself.

For me, it depends on the book. If I find it really interesting then yes, I'll read it especially if it is really relatable but I gravitate more into fiction because I like imagining the new world being described by the author.
