Weird question.

Was I the only one who thought of the book (and movie), "Twilight." The setting was in Washington . There were called the Olympic wilderness and there were also lots of trees...

What a wonderful portrayal of a real place! The author took the reader to the beauty and reality of a place that will not be visited otherwise. Now, that is good writing!

Twilight takes place in Forks, Washington. I would say that it is also considered to be part of the Olympic Peninsula Wilderness area.

Twilight was also filmed in and around Forks, so that's another way to see and appreciate this beautiful area.
Technically, Forks is outside the national park, but very close, as you can see here:

The Cullens's very own personal hunting grounds.

Though, I would assume, still lots of non-park woodlands!

The Cullens definitely had a great piece of property! I remember loving the scenery of their home in the movie.

I have not visited the place. I thought most of the part was imagination. Wondering if all of it is for real then I want to visit it once in my life.
