What themes can be found here?

In any good read, there are multiple themes throughout. I saw several in Strong Heart.
One of the themes I found was the theme of commitment. There's commitment in Sarah sticking by her story/encounter in those "lost" eight days. Though the others question what actually happened, she doesn't sway on her story.
Sarah also shows commitment and even persistence when she leads the gang to relocate the spear thrower.
What themes did you see in this text and in what ways?

I see culture and heritage as a huge theme in the book. It's something that is brought up many times and stood out to me the most.

There's also the theme of bravery/strength. This is very evident in the character of Sarah.

Family ties, culture, and strength are some of the themes in this great novel.

There was the family theme, the ancient tribe theme, the magic, and the wilderness theme.

I agree with all. There are also themes of endurance (By Sarah), survival, love, Coming of Age, loyalty, and traditions.

I agree that culture and heritage are quite relevant throughout this book. This can also tie into the "coming of age" theme that I find to be prevalent. Learning through culture and heritage can definitely provide life lessons that one would not otherwise be exposed.

Yes, and I also see this theme presented at times in other characters as well. The strength is shown both externally and internally.

I like how Sarah shows such commitment despite the lack of commitment others have shown to her, such as when Ruth drops her at Tom's doorstep in the beginning of the book.

The themes that can be found in the book are culture, betrayal, respect, lineage and determination.

These are all such great themes everyone! I also wonder if a theme of trust can be found? When Sarah encountered the short-face bear, I felt there was a sort of trust both in Sarah and the bear. For Sarah not running away and for the bear to sort of leave the area without feeling the need to approach/potentially attack Sarah. It was like they both could trust each other.

The theme of spirituality and family is prominent. It contributed in the first place to their journey of discovery into the wilderness.

Trip to Olympic peninsula, story about wandering Iife of native people and afamily relationship with a newcomer Sara, all amulgamates to give multiple themes to this story.Apart from this Sara 's struggle, her adjustment to new culture are important aspects of the story.

A good one! I think it counts as well!

Family relations, culture and bravery are the most observable themes in the story

Thank you!
I see family is a big one here too. I feel one way the theme of family is shown by the constant questioning if Sarah should have been brought along on the hike/camping due to her safety and her attitude toward the journey. There was a sense of concern, fear, and uncertainty.
