I agree that it all worked out in the long run, and that her heart was in the right place. I just feel like it was something she should have discussed with Marty first. Divorce is a sensitive issue, so you should approach those individuals involved accordingly.BoyLazy wrote:I like this one.. we agree that it could have been handled in a better way..Cotwani wrote:I agree her heart was in the right place, but she should have first tried reaching out to both parties individually before bringing them together.

I think in situations of non emergency you have time to think of the best way to handle something. If Jennifer just had to tackle this subject on Thanksgiving, she could have pulled Marty and his ex-wife aside to discuss it properly. Her decision, while with the best of intentions, was rash. She wasn’t considering the kids and their feelings either.powergirl wrote:I think that when you want to bring peace between people there is no time and place.you have to do it I you love your person no matter if the person take it bad the essential is that you have already try your best

Your natural behavior always comes in all your acts. Once a leader always a leader.Yolimari wrote:I thought she had really good intentions, but I also felt she was crossing a line too early because she was new to the family. I also thought she was taking charge because she was used to be a leader.

You bring up very good points. There may not be a much of a chance to have everyone together to talk about something like that. However, I still think Jennifer could have pulled the two of them aside to bring up the discussion. That way it still wasn’t quite so public.Momiji1987 wrote:I think it's a lose/lose situation. Thanksgiving is not appropriate to bring up family drama, but at the same time, when are they all going to get together and hash it out? There's no good way to do something like tat, but ruining a holiday has lasting consequences that can spoil the season every year.

Exactly! When there are children involved, you have to figure out the best way to go about handling a situation with them in mind.BoyLazy wrote:Personal things could have kept side and dealt privately.Christina Rose wrote:You bring up very good points. I agree that people can be a little extra-touchy in the beginning of a relationship. In the very least I think Jennifer should have approached Marty before the dinner to let him know of her plan.Reviewer Book wrote:This is a difficult one. I think that Jennifer was trying to help, but may have gone about it in the wrong way. Her relationship was still fresh, and she possibly crossed a line.
