Cool! I really enjoyed Beneath the Sugar Sky. It was great seeing Kade, Christopher, Sumi, and Nancy again. Even if just for the briefest of moments we got to see Nancy and fully-formed Sumi, I liked that they there were included. It was also great learning a bit more about Kade and Christopher, and about their pasts/where they came from. Now more than ever, I would love a Kade-focused book! The newer characters, specially Cora and Rini, were also pretty great and it was easy to feel both of their struggles (weight and friendship for Cora; being able to continue existing for Rini).

I loved visiting Confection and meeting the Baker! I would absolutely be her assistant, since I love baking. The world was easy to picture and I felt as if my teeth were hurting because of all the sugar everywhere! It was also interesting to have some experience in a nonsensical world. I felt this was the book that I was beginning to understand a bit more of the different types of worlds that exist in the Wayward Children series. The first one confused me, the second did a great job in exploring one specific world, and this one touched upon a few other worlds while focusing much of the time in Confection.

Also, how great was it that they were able to bring Sumi back by baking her? I love concept!

Though I found myself a bit confused on some of the history/mapping conversation by Kade and Christopher, I still really enjoyed these characters and the storyline. I think my favorite of the series, so far, is Down Among the Sticks and Bones, but I would still give this one a 4 out of 4 stars as there was good character development, great plot, and overall an enjoyable story!

Can't wait to read the next one!

I liked to meet again some of the characters from the first book. I thought Rini's fall fell from the sky made a great entry. The concept of her slowly disappearing was original.

I liked that Nadya was able to return to her world. She deserved it after she volunteered to stay at Nancy's world. I loved it that they managed to bring Sumi back by backing! What a cool concept! In fact, the world of Confection was cool! I loved the idea of baking the world and some of its people!

I am curios about the mermaid world, and I hope the author will write about it as well.

Oh, yes! I also loved Rini's welcoming fall from the sky and her bluntness about being unclothed. It was so funny! Also, you're right, the concept of her slowly disappearing is original and really interesting to see.

The world of Confection was cool, and the mermaid world would be a great one to explore!

Okay, on to the good stuff (sorry I was missing before).

Things I love...
I love Rini's entrance. I also love the thought of her cake dress. I want to see someone cosplay that!
I love the ending of this book, seeing Nadya go home, and her water hand, and I really would like to meet Burian.
Learning about Christopher's cancer and that he can't be away from his flute, I almost feel like this means we'll get his book sooner rather than later...but who knows?
I love Nancy's world, and how they refer to the visitors as hot and fast. (In a different series, the author describes a characters place of comfort as the "hot warm dark" and it just fits perfectly, and I love the way she describes things like that.)
I love Confection for Sumi and Rini, but I don't think I'd want to live there.
I also very much want to see Cora's world, and I'm fairly certain we'll get it and it will be a difficult read, given the subject matter, but it will also be epic and hopeful, and hopefully happy!

It'll be interesting to see what Kade learns if he keeps watch on Layla like he said.
