Which scene was your favorite?
Mine was when Catrin's first discovered her power and entered her raven's mind (at the beginning of the book).

Call me grisly, but I liked the one where Catrin found out what happened between her and Marrock. I just like dark things like that.

I really liked the scene near the beginning of the book when Marcellus gets left with the Celtic warriors. I love how he gets drunk and starts competing with them. It was ruined for me by the forced scene where he ends up in bed with Catrin. No one wants to be that close to a virtual stranger who is covered in their own vomit...

That scene appealed to me also, though I think mostly due to thinking how exciting it would be to have a 'bird's eye' view of the chalk cliffs along the South East part of England's coastline.

I actually have multiple favorite scenes in the book.
I enjoyed the scene where Catrin and Marcellus finally make love by the cave, and Catrin enters into Marcellus's mind and learns of the Roman woman in Rome. I feel of her doing this, it brought them together, however, it frustrated me because every time Catrin would show him her oracle powers as a Druidess he would begin to think that her passion for him, and he for her was not genuine but a spell. Another favorite scene I enjoyed was when she was finally able to go to the wall of lives with her raven and learned what happened to her on the night with Marrock. I feel that scene filled in a lot of gaps in the book for me, but also I wonder why she didn't just tell her father the truth later on, when he was accusing her of being a traitor. I also enjoyed the time when she went by herself with her raven because it showed why her decision was going to be so difficult. She knew that if she saved Marcellus once, that he would only face death again. But, she still chose to save his life at the cost of betraying her father.
I enjoyed all the side plots that did not pertain to Catrin and Marcellus, because they were like a little break from the complications of their growing romance, however, it was like a treat to see the drama that surrounded the other characters. Like learning that the first two children were actually bastards of Trystan.

My favorite part was when Catrin stood up for Marcellus out of the blue when they first arrived and he was at risk of being murdered.

My favorite is probably the scene when Catrin learns what actually happened that night with Marrock. It was datk, but was well-written and very relevant to the plot.
Another favorite is where Catrin is seeing with the raven's eyes and using her own mouth to speak to Belinus. It showed how much her control had grown.

I liked when Catrin found out what really happened the night Marrock had her in the woods. It added to the story and helped you see deeper in it.
I really enjoyed the senses between Catrin and Marcellus. It seemed they were the purest, and really in love. Although they both question their feelings, it read well that they we're in love. The power between them made the book hard to put down.
